Portland Cement PKZ (or) PLC limestone

Portland Cement PKZ (or) PLC limestone is a hydraulic adhesive from the Portland cement family, which is produced by grinding a mixture of 6 to 20% of special limestone with a suitable percentage of gypsum and at least 80% of Portland cement clinker.

Addition of limestone enhances the reactivity of clinker and its hydraulic properties and reduces the carbonation depth and permeability of the mortar. The setting time and health of Portland limestone cements are satisfactory and the amount of water required strongly depends on the type of clinker and the quality of the limestone and the grain size distribution of the two. Portland Lime Cement can be used in the preparation of mortar and concrete in all cases where Portland Cement Type 1 is used. Water retention of this type of cement is better than ordinary Portland cement. It also improves the efficiency and capability of the concrete pump made with it.
